NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A student was taken into custody for allegedly bringing a loaded handgun to Chicora Elementary in North Charleston on Thursday morning, officers said.
Officers with the North Charleston Police Department were notified that a handgun was recovered from inside a student’s bookbag. Officers said that school staff had secured the bookbag from the student with the help of a school security officer.
