NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department announced the arrest of multiple suspects in connection to several Desire area armed carjackings.
All incidents happened on May 8 at the following locations:
- 2700 block of Abundance Street
- Intersection of Edith Weston Place and Agriculture Street
- 4000 block of Johnny Jackson Boulevard.
The investigation revealed that the subjects allegedly ordered rideshare services to the locations and upon their arrivals, the suspects pulled guns and robbed the victims of their vehicles.

Further investigation led detectives to identify the suspects as three juveniles, ages 16, 14 and 14 and 19-year-old Ja’Maarion Banks, who was reportedly wearing an ankle monitor.
All of the three stolen vehicles were located, with the last one being occupied by two of the suspects in the 7700 block of Benson Street. They were all arrested in connection to the armed robberies…
