LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Palm Mortuaries and Cemeteries will host Memorial Day weekend remembrance services May 23 and May 25 in partnership with local Scout troops, with volunteers placing American flags at veterans’ gravesites to honor those who served, according to a press release.
Organizers say the events, which are open to the public, will take place at multiple Palm locations across the Las Vegas Valley, including Palm Downtown, Palm Eastern, and Palm Henderson.
Officials with the Palm Mortuaries said local Scouts will assist with placing flags, and veterans organizations and community partners are expected to participate.
On Saturday, May 23, Palm Henderson, 800 S. Boulder Highway, will hold a flag placement from 8 to 9 a.m. in the Garden of Honor, followed by a Fallen Heroes commemorative ceremony from 10 to 11 a.m…
