Philadelphia, PA — A 19-year-old man remains hospitalized after gunfire erupted Thursday evening along Greenway Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia, prompting an active investigation by the Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group.
Officers responded around 5:21 p.m. to the 70xx block of Greenway Avenue in the city’s 12th District, where they found the teenager suffering from a gunshot wound on the highway, according to Philadelphia police. Emergency responders transported the victim to Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition Thursday night.
Investigators have not released details about what led to the shooting, and no suspects have been identified.
