AUSTIN (KXAN) — Dramatic new video shows the moments after a gun theft that Austin police say kicked off a crime spree last weekend that ended with four people shot and several cars stolen.
This comes as KXAN Investigates discovered in newly revealed court documents, that two of the teenage suspects tried to steal a gun from a pawn shop days before.
“Currently, right now, there’s no connection at all between whatever gun was used and the gun that actually was stolen from Central Texas Gun Works,” said store owner Michael Cargill, referencing the 9 mm semi-automatic pistol, police say, those teenagers were able to get away with Saturday.
The handgun was stolen after the suspect asked to look at it, then “grabbed” it, before he “immediately fled” outside, according to Austin police…
