Reynolds School District cuts JROTC program amid $20M shortfall; final class bids farewell

TROUTDALE, Ore. — The Reynolds School District has eliminated its Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program at Reynolds High School as part of sweeping budget cuts tied to a more than $20 million shortfall for the 2026-27 school year, officials said.

The cuts are part of districtwide reductions affecting more than 150 staff positions, according to district officials.
