At its meeting May 22, the Lake Township Board of Trustees declared nuisances at two properties for tall grass and vegetation violations at 11825 Basswood Ave. and 11561 Peach Glen Ave.
Trustees passed two resolutions of necessity requesting the Stark County auditor certify the amounts generated by levying an additional 2.5-mill fire district levy and an additional 2.75-mill fire district levy. Trustee Jeremy Yoder said the current 3.0-mill fire district levy will end this year, but increased property values will make the proposed levies sufficient.
