Savannah man gets probation in 2022 block party shooting

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – A Savannah man learned his fate today in a deadly 2022 shooting case. He was facing serious charges originally, but walked away with probation after taking a plea in court this morning.

Shawn Campbell Jr. was originally facing charges in connection with the death of 42-year-old Timothy Lewis.

The prosecutor said during his hearing Friday that his charge of felony murder was nolle prossed, along with two gun charges, and he was only taking a plea for 1 count of aggravated assault…
