Celebration of Heroes Parade in Virginia City
WHEN: Saturday, May 23, 12:00 p.m.
The parade travels down C Street, Virginia City’s main drag, and honors men and women of the military who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Visitors are also encouraged to check out other activities in the Comstock, including riding the V & T Railroad to Gold Hill and back.
Steam Locomotive Rides for Memorial Day
WHEN: Saturday through Monday, May 23 – 25, 2026, 10 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.
Two historic steam locomotives will be operating. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for kids ages 4 to 17, with children 3 and under free. The museum is at 2180 S. Carson St. More information is available at (775) 687-6953.
