Residents across Oregon and southwest Washington will have a chance to look skyward this Memorial Day as fighter jets from the 142nd Wing conduct ceremonial flyovers honoring military members who died in service.
Pilots with the wing, based at the Portland Air National Guard Base, will fly the U.S. Air Force’s newest fighter aircraft, the F-15EX Eagle II, over cemeteries, memorial ceremonies and communities throughout the region on Monday, May 25.
