HAZLETON, Pa. — A tractor trailer driver was killed while attending to his disabled rig on the side of Interstate 81 North on Friday morning, state police in Luzerne County said.
Troopers from the Hazleton barracks said Jesus Montell-Rincon, 58, of Berks County, was struck at 6:31 a.m. by a northbound driver while Montell-Rincon was pulled off on the shoulder at mile marker 140.3 in Hazle Twp.
The state police and the county coroner’s office responded. Authorities shut down a lane of the interstate until 1 p.m…
