Myrtle Beach rolls out qualifications, salary range for city’s next police chief

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — City leaders want a police chief who is equally approachable and decisive and with at least a decade of law enforcement experience.

Officials on Friday rolled out a 12-page recruitment brochure as they seek to replace Amy Prock, who retired April 2.

“This is a compelling opportunity for an experienced police executive to lead a full-service department in a visible, high-demand environment where expectations are elevated, communication is constant, and strong leadership can have an immediate and lasting impact.
