SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — All southbound lanes of Interstate 5 north of Palm Avenue in the South Bay were temporarily shutdown Saturday afternoon due to a crash, according to California Highway Patrol.
Authorities announced the closure around 1:40 p.m. and did not immediately provide a timeline for reopening the roadway.
CHP said traffic was being diverted off the freeway at Palomar Street as crews responded to the scene.
