Two Bluffton men were arrested at a popular Irish pub on Hilton Head Island after one allegedly assaulted the venue’s security guard, according to police.
The 30-year-old allegedly involved in the fight was charged early Thursday morning with third-degree assault and battery, inmate records show, while another patron, 27, was booked shortly after on charges of public disorderly conduct and simple possession of a controlled substance.
Deputies were called to Callahan’s Irish Sports Pub around 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday due to an “active fight” between a patron and the security officer, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office incident report.
