SAN DIEGO — Parishioners at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Little Italy are raising concerns over a new protected bike lane project on State Street, saying the design has created safety issues and removed the curb access they believed the city had promised to preserve.
The changes include a newly painted red curb directly in front of the church, a two-way protected bike lane and a floating three-minute passenger loading zone positioned outside the bike lane.
