BELLEVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) – Members of the American Legion Duppler-Smith Post in Belleville say they are hoping Memorial Day weekend helps launch a new chapter for local veterans.
The post is beginning a fundraising campaign to replace its longtime building, which members say has become increasingly difficult for veterans to access.
“We’ve been talking about getting a different place for at least six years,” Legion member Donald McSherry said.
