Letters: After 250 years, a troubling trend

I am dismayed that the congressional elections in Louisiana were abruptly canceled, even after early voting had begun.

I am dismayed that the person I voted for, for Orleans Parish Clerk of Criminal Court, had his position eliminated after he won by a wide margin.

I am dismayed that the Louisiana attorney general is threatening to remove the New Orleans mayor and much of the City Council. I am dismayed that when Republicans gerrymander districts, it is ruled constitutional because it is partisan, but when Democrats gerrymander districts, it is ruled unconstitutional because it considers race and fairness…
