BOWIE, Md. (DC News Now) — Maryland State Police have launched an investigation after a man died in a crash in Prince George’s County on Memorial Day.
The two-vehicle collision took place on U.S. Route 301 near Mill Branch Road in the Bowie community. State police told DC News Now that troopers responded to the area shortly after midnight.
A preliminary investigation suggested that a BMW was traveling on U.S. Route 301 when, for unknown reasons, the car left the road and slammed into a tree. The impact caused the tree to fall, resulting in a Mercedes SUV colliding with it.
