Applications are now open for a trip to Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. from June 11-13. This event is for civic and business leaders from Colorado who will form a delegation to meet with federal lawmakers. The Colorado State University System has reserved 30 spots for its alumni and supporters.

The trip is co-hosted by U.S. Senators Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper, along with Colorado Mesa University, the University of Colorado System, and the Colorado State University System. The event, known as the Colorado Capital Conference, allows Coloradans to engage with their federal elected officials.

CSU President Amy Parsons encourages applications, highlighting the importance of civic engagement. She looks forward to meeting this year’s participants. Senators Bennet and Hickenlooper, as well as CSU System Chancellor Tony Frank, have expressed their support for the event, emphasizing its role in strengthening Colorado.

Applications for the conference are due by March 22, with participants announced by April 18. Participants must cover their own accommodations and airfare, and a $750 registration fee applies.
