Brightline Safety Work to Close Boca Raton Rail Crossings

The work is being done under a Federal Railroad Administration RAISE grant, part of a broader project running the length of the Florida East Coast Railway from Cocoa Beach to Miami. FDOT and contractor Gonzalez & Sons Equipment, Inc. will be adding delineators, reflective pavement markers, striping, and signage at crossings throughout the area, with most work happening between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The City of Boca Raton tells BocaNewsNow.com that the closures start with Hidden Valley on Tuesday, July 14. The next day, Wednesday, July 15, brings lane closures only at Yamato Road, from 7 a.m. to noon, and at Palmetto Park Road. Thursday, July 16, sees lane closures only at Glades Road, from noon to 5 p.m., along with a full closure at NW 28th Street. Spanish River Boulevard shuts down completely on Friday, July 17.

The closures continue the following week. NW 20th Street closes Monday, July 20, followed by SW 18th Street on Tuesday, July 21. The project wraps up Wednesday, July 22, with lane closures only at Camino Real from noon to 5 p.m., and a full closure at NE 2nd Street…
