As South Florida law enforcement agencies grapple with new restrictions on license plate readers commonly referred to as Flock cameras, Pembroke Pines has announced it’s suspending its use of the technology.
The move comes a day after the Florida Department of Transportation released a memorandum ordering the removal of the cameras from state roads due to concerns of Florida becoming a “surveillance state.”
