A truck-mounted crane toppled over onto a house in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday morning, causing significant structural damage to the home, the city’s fire rescue department said.
The crane tipped over around 9:10 a.m. on the 800 block of Southeast Eighth Street, Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue spokesman Frank Guzman said.
When firefighters arrived four minutes later, they found the crane’s extended boom on top of the home, Guzman said. The home sustained heavy damage, but no one was injured, he said…
