Chow Time Grill and Buffet in Tamarac was cited for 34 violations after inspectors found roaches, more than 100 dead insects, and multiple food safety issues.
According to a state inspector report, Chow Time Grill and Buffet, located at 6997 West Commercial Boulevard, was inspected on September 21. The inspector reported seeing a live roach crawling on a wall inside an employee bathroom near the kitchen as well as dead roaches in an electrical room, beneath a prep sink, and near a make line.
The inspector also documented live beetles and approximately 66 dead beetles in dry storage and electrical areas, along with about 100 small dead insects stuck to glue tape hanging from the ceiling near the walk-in coolers…
