FBI Agent Assists in Foot Chase After Multiple 911 Calls Report Man Pointing Gun at Traffic

An off-duty FBI agent assisted Broward deputies in chasing down a Tamarac man accused of pointing what appeared to be a firearm at passing drivers along University Drive.

According to Broward Sheriff’s Office arrest reports, Adler Telfort, 28, was taken into custody on May 13 and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of resisting an officer.

Deputies were first dispatched around 10:20 p.m. on May 12 to the intersection of North University Drive and Northwest 61st Street after reports of a man on a bicycle “yelling to himself and pointing a firearm at drivers passing by,” according to the probable cause affidavit…
