VIDEO: Florida deputy rushes into water to save 3 girls struggling in rip current

LEE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida deputy jumped into action to save three girls who were struggling in a rip current while swimming at Lovers Key State Park on Sunday.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were made aware of three girls struggling to swim in a rip current and were unable to reach shore.

Deputy Raymond Tellez Ferriol rushed into the water with floatation devices and swam over to the girls.
