FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A southeast Fort Wayne neighborhood is breathing a sigh of relief after a neighbor they helped save from a fire is resting safe and sound.
“It was just a true community effort,” said Sierra Dubose, the Neighborhood President for Mount Vernon Park Neighborhood.
Dubose describes the Mount Vernon Park neighborhood as “tight-knit,” a place where “block captains” are just steps away to help neighbors and where a warm welcome is always extended. The neighborhood even has a motto: “Neighbors helping neighbors.”…
