BRISTOL – Throughout the history of the Indiana State Police Toll Road Post, it has not had a dedicated public information officer.
Instead, it has relied on several neighboring PIOs to share information during critical times. Throughout the years it has become more evident that dedicated PIOs are a necessity for each State Police Post. The decision was made to add this position to the Toll Road Post to consolidate information sharing, for efficiency, transparency, and community engagement.
This added position will assist in sharing timely information with the Fort Wayne, South Bend, and Chicago media markets as well as the public that uses the Toll Road.
