FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Many animals at Fort Wayne Zoo train to voluntarily participate in their medical care. Years of training with lioness Ina are now paying off.
Ina will turn 20 in October and she gets montly monthly blood pressure tests and blood draws.
“She is an older lion. We want to make sure that she’s doing well, and so her participation in that is essential for her health moving forward,” Dr. Caitlin Hemby, the zoo’s veterinarian, said…
