Second ‘urban explorer’ charged in Holy Cross Lutheran break-in

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – An individual has been charged again in connection with a series of break-ins by ‘urban explorers’ who documented the incidents on TikTok.

Stratton Vershure, 22, was charged with Burglary, a level 5 felony, on Tuesday after allegedly trespassing at the Holy Cross Lutheran School and Church after hours and stealing construction hard hats. Vershure was previously charged with Criminal Trespass for breaking into the Fort Wayne Zoo in a similar incident.

On August 8, the Executive Director of Operations at Holy Cross called the Fort Wayne Police Department to report a burglary at the church the previous day, stating that 2-3 people broke in and posted a video of the break-in on TikTok, according to court documents.
