WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — A northeast Indiana prosecutor says Flock Safety cameras remain an important investigative tool for his office, even as some communities in the region reconsider their use of the technology.
Whitley County Prosecutor D.J. Sigler says the county currently has eight Flock cameras, which were added gradually over roughly 18 months.
The cameras use automated license plate recognition technology to identify vehicles and can help investigators track where a vehicle has traveled.
