Mayor Sharon Tucker, city utilities announce $91 Million investment in 2026 improvement projects

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Mayor Sharon Tucker and the City Utilities Department announced plans for a more than $91 million investment in utility infrastructure improvements for 2026, specifically in the Fairfield Terrace Belmont neighborhood.

According to a release from the department, the investment will focus on drainage improvements, infrastructure replacement, and neighborhood-enhancing projects across the Summit City.

Leaders say they have spent the last two years analyzing data with residents to communicate where improvements are needed. Director of City Utilities Kumar Menon says the projects are “driven by analysis and focused on solving real issues in neighborhoods.”…
