Komets shut out Walleye, take 2-0 series lead in Central Division Finals

TOLEDO, Ohio (WANE) – The Komets stunned a raucous Toledo crowd by shutting out the Walleye, 3-0, in game two of the Central Division Finals on Tuesday.

Fort Wayne now takes a 2-0 series lead back to Memorial Coliseum on Thursday.

Toledo came out swinging on home ice. Garrett Van Wyhe thought he scored a goal within the opening minutes of play, but officials waved it off in real time. A controversial replay review kept the Walleye off the board, despite a camera angle showing the puck completely crossing the goal line on Toledo’s broadcast.
