A viral dessert sensation from Dubai has made its way to North Texas, causing a frenzy at BigDash, a Middle Eastern ice cream and pastry shop. Known as the “Dubai chocolate bar,” this sweet treat has taken over social media, with fans eager to get their hands on one without traveling across the globe.
The famous Dubai chocolate bar was created at one of Dubai’s beloved dessert spots, Fix Dessert Chocolatier.
“We receive like 100 calls every single day asking for it. ‘Do you guys have it? Do you guys have it?'” shared Asmaa Khattab, founder and owner of BigDash, per CBS News Texas.
The chocolate bar features a hand-painted exterior adorned with edible splatter marks, but the real draw is the rich filling inside. Packed with pistachios and Knafeh, a traditional Middle Eastern dessert made with sweet, buttery phyllo pastry strands, it’s a combination that has everyone talking.
Khattab explained the key ingredients: “Pistachio cream, luxurious pistachio cream, and some Turkish pistachio.” The process involves roasting shredded phyllo dough with butter, then balancing it with their own pistachio paste. The result is a gooey, creamy, and crunchy delight.”
