(KRON) — Several homes in the area of Curtner Road in Fremont have been evacuated due to a gas leak Tuesday afternoon. According to the Fremont Police Department, the leak is impacting northbound lanes on Mission Boulevard at Highway 680 and Curtner between Mission and Klamath Street.
Fremont PD is advising people to avoid the area. PG&E crews are on the scene working to mitigate the incident, according to the Fremont Fire Department.
Traffic off northbound Mission Boulevard is being diverted onto the freeway. Southbound traffic on Mission is unaffected at this time.
