Now THAT was a hot weekend! Sunday turned out to be our hottest day of the year so far, and it’s a pretty good bet that it won’t get beat later this month. Our 10 day forecast has us dropping into the 90’s by next weekend and next week, and our record highs fall below 110 by next week. Record highs drop lower soon because the sun is just a little lower in the sky and the days are getting just a little shorter each and every day – Fall is on the horizon. DISTANT horizon right now, but we should be getting less hot going forward – slowly.
Sunday was an absolute scorcher, with Madera missing a record high by just 1 degree with their high of 106. Merced was ‘only’ 105, Los Banos hit 107, while both Fresno and Visalia topped out at 109.
The high of 109 is the hottest temperature in Fresno in 2 years – you have to go back to August of 2024 to find a hotter temperature (110)…
