Clovis, Calif. (FOX26) — Six years after the COVID-19 pandemic began, health care leaders say the nursing shortage continues to put pressure on hospitals and health care systems across the country, including here in the Central Valley.
Health care leaders estimate more than 200,000 nurses nationwide have left the profession since the pandemic, creating a significant gap in the health care workforce.
