Shake Shack will fire up its newest North Texas location next Wednesday at 1701 Shoal Creek inside The Shops at Highland Village, with doors opening at 10 a.m. following a 9:30 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring company representatives and local officials. The grand-opening celebration will also include live music on the patio, giving Denton County burger fans their first taste of the fast-casual chain’s suburban debut.
The menu leans on Shake Shack staples — the Shackburger, crinkle-cut fries, crispy chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, hand-spun shakes, house-made lemonades and frozen custard — alongside a limited-time West Coast menu and a Dubai chocolate pistachio shake, according to CultureMap Dallas. The first 100 customers through the door will walk away with a Shake Shack Texas-themed tumbler. In a release, Ravi Wadhwa said The Shops at Highland Village is thrilled to welcome Shake Shack and expects it to become a vibrant gathering place, the outlet reported.
Grand-Opening Perks and a Charity Tie-In
Beyond the tumblers, Shake Shack will donate $1 for every sandwich sold on opening day to the Lewisville ISD Education Foundation, which supports programs for students across Lewisville ISD. The nonprofit’s reach extends well beyond a single promotion: it awarded $358,047 in scholarships to 478 graduating seniors this past April and regularly funds K-12 teacher innovation grants ranging from $300 to $2,500. The new Shack will operate from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
A Shopping Center Still Adding Big Names
The new Shack lands inside an open-air lifestyle center spanning more than 350,000 square feet, anchored by AMC Theatres, Barnes & Noble and Whole Foods Market and managed by JLL. The property serves affluent communities across southern Denton County.
The center has been steadily upgrading its tenant mix, with Lululemon, Dragon House, Drybar and iCRYO all signing on in 2025, as reported by REBusinessOnline. Hudson House is also slated to open at the center later this year, per CultureMap Dallas’s reporting on the shopping district’s plans.
