Firefighters work to contain crude oil leak after tanker crash in West Plano

PLANO, Texas — Plano firefighters are responding to a major crash involving a crude oil tanker in West Plano.

The accident happened at the intersection of Spring Creek Parkway and Windhaven. According to Plano Fire Department officials, the crash involved a small tanker truck carrying crude oil and another vehicle.

Hazmat crews are on scene working to contain a leak from the tanker and prevent the oil from entering nearby storm drains. Officials did say that an undisclosed amount of oil did end up in a nearby creek…
