Edgar Allan Poe has been inspiring readers and writers for decades. Soon the literary luminary’s influence will be manifest in a slightly more unexpected way-as the driving force behind an upcoming DFW bar called Nevermore Tavern. The concept is bringing the essence of Poe’s timeless work to Lewisville, and according to recently filed forms, work will begin on the project soon.
Nevermore Tavern will be inviting visitors to ponder, weak and weary, in a striking storefront located at 170 W Main Street, Suite 101. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that the establishment will occupy a remodeled 3,500 square foot space.
Nevermore Tavern first appeared on social media in October of last year. It appears that forward motion is finally occurring; while dates included on TDLR forms are estimates, they can provide a general timeline, and Nevermore’s paperwork states construction will begin on the project on July 1 and should wrap by October 1.
