Deadly Florida I-75 Pileup Leaves Gainesville Woman Dead, Tampa And Kentucky Drivers Unhurt

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A highway slowdown turned deadly on Interstate 75 in Pasco County when a multi-vehicle collision claimed the life of a Gainesville woman.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred in the southbound lanes near Milepost 279. Traffic on the highway had come to a halt due to an unrelated, earlier traffic crash further ahead.

A Toyota Camry, driven by a 34-year-old Tampa man, and a tractor-trailer, driven by a 27-year-old Kentucky man, had both stopped safely in response to the backup. The Camry was positioned in the center lane, while the tractor-trailer was stopped in the outside lane…
