A well-being check in Marion County led to DUI charges for a Georgia woman who allegedly admitted to visiting several liquor stores before her vehicle ran out of gas on Highway 40.
On Thursday, July 9, at around 7:50 p.m., a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to the 27900 block of E Highway 40 in Silver Springs after receiving a call from a concerned mother. The mother explained that a vehicle being driven by her daughter, 35-year-old Hannah Rae Ishii, had stopped along Highway 40, and Ishii was not answering her cellphone, according to the arrest report.
