A 43-year-old woman is facing several charges after she allegedly refused to pay for her meal at an Ocala pizzeria and provided deputies with a written note referencing Fidel Castro’s niece when they asked for her name.
On Saturday, August 15, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to Sammy’s Pizza & Restaurant, located at 6106 SW Highway 200, in reference to a reported theft. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with the restaurant’s manager, who stated that a woman, later identified as Virginia Saavedra, had ordered food but walked out without paying her $42.46 bill, according to the arrest report.
