GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Florida Forest Service officials say their fleet of aircraft played an important role in fighting wildfires in North Central Florida this spring.
As fires burn out west, Forest Service officials want people to know how important these resources are.

Firefighter pilots with the Florida Forest Service spent a lot of time sitting in planes serving as the eyes in the sky while fighting some of the biggest wildfires seen across the area so far this year.
