A 14.1-acre horse farm in northeast Ocala was just sold for $1.03 million, joining at least a half dozen other similar sales in the last two months alone.
According to a deed filed with the Marion County Clerk of Courts, Wiley C. Davis Jr. and Michael Troy Davis, acting as co-trustees of the Winter Park-based Wiley C. Davis Jr. Living Trust, sold the property located at 780 NE 100th Street in Ocala for $1,030,000 to Leigh A. Schmid and Karin J. Lunau, serving as co-trustees of the Ocala-registered Schmid-Lunau Revocable Trust, on August 14.
Situated within a designated Farmland Preservation Area, the fully fenced equestrian property features a 2,488-square-foot, single-story residence built with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large den or office, and a gas fireplace in the living room.
Designed for horse owners, the property includes a three-stall block stud barn along with board fencing and cross-fenced paddocks for livestock turnout.
The sale of the horse farm on NE 100th Street came just six days prior to the sale of a 13.77-acre horse farm in northwest Ocala for $1.3 million.
Across Marion County, at least a half dozen additional horse farms have been sold this summer.
