Whether Georgia fans want to admit it or not, Florida is a team that is more than capable of beating them this year. The last time it felt like Florida could realistically beat Georgia was in 2020 which just so happened to be the last time the Gators actually beat Georgia, but this year feels like the first time Florida could seriously challenge UGA since their last win six years ago.
Since Kirby Smart’s took over Georgia they are 8-2 against Florida. This includes winning each of the last five matchups when they were heavily favored to do so. That game in 2020 was the last time Florida was predicted to beat Georgia and it was also coincidentally the last time the Gators were relevant on the national stage as well.
