GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Charges are being pressed against a woman who Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies shot during an armed encounter at a hotel in Gainesville. On Monday, Calixta Lara, 30, was served a bench warrant on three counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. She remains at the hospital receiving treatment for a gunshot wound.
