Loop 101 pavement smoothing in Scottsdale starts this week

PHOENIX — Drivers in Scottsdale should expect temporary nighttime and weekend slowdowns on Loop 101 Pima Freeway this week as crews work to smooth the pavement.

Southbound Loop 101 will be reduced to two lanes overnight between Princess Drive/Pima Road and Thunderbird Road from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.

The restrictions will expand over the weekend. The freeway will again be narrowed to two lanes between Princess Drive/Pima Road and Shea Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday.
