PHOENIX — A man is dead after a crash in Phoenix involving a pedestrian, the city’s police department said.
Around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, officers were sent to the scene near 21st Street and Broadway Road for reports of a crash involving a pedestrian in a wheelchair.
As police arrived at the area, officers found a man, later identified as 73-year-old Ignacio Ramos Duarte, in critical condition. Phoenix Fire crews arrived on scene and took Duarte to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead…
