Driver flees scene after hitting, killing pedestrian on Phoenix street

An investigation is underway after Phoenix police found a woman who died on a street Monday after being hit by a vehicle.

The collision occurred about 5:50 a.m. Jan. 22. Officers responded and found Summer Olheiser, 23, on the street near 29 th Avenue and Osborn Road. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the injuries were consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest, police said.
