This sounds silly, but it is possible that it could be illegal to cut your grass.
It’s spring, and we have all been cutting our lawns, making them beautiful. After all we just were finally able to put the show shovel and snow blower away and now you are saying it may be illegal to cut the grass?
Well, yes and no! Truth be told Michigan doesn’t have any statewide law that says we are prohibited from cutting the grass, but our local governments may have something on their books.
There are probably “noise ordinances” in each city, township, county, that we have to adhere to, and since lawnmowers certainly are not the quietest machine out there, that probably falls in there…
